***Review***
This
is an excellent game. The over world and towns are set up in a similar way as
Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy. The 2D stages aren’t out of the ordinary when
it comes to Capcom. It’s a really neat game, if you like this game play the
sequel for it on SNES…Demon’s Crest (I have also made a walkthrough for that
game as well). The walkthrough I made
is old; it was based on a walkthrough I made as a kid, however, I did go
through it and correct all the spelling errors and stuff. I might revamp the
walkthrough eventually.

(Stages and
chapters are not part of the game, there my own creation to better divide the
game up when discussing it.)
Prologue: A long time ago before humans, there lived a monster named,
"Firebrand" [the character you play with] in Etruria, Ghoul Realm. To
become a true warrior you train yourself constantly at the town’s training
center.
Chapter 1: King Morock of Etruria tells you that he has the spectre's
fingernail and he will give you the nail if you become a true warrior. In order
to become a true warrior you must retrieve Argob's Pot from the training
center. The training center is located in the southeastern building in town. Go
inside the building and enter the portal. >The black light appears suddenly,
hurry to the king. Once you leave the building you enter Etruria. The boss of
this stage, Nagus, is quite easy. There is no real strategy or way to defeat
this enemy. >Talk to King Morock and as he dies he gives you the Spectre's
Fingernail. He instructs you to head west to Gibea where King Barr rules.
[Specter's Fingernail=Jump LV 2] Head west. *6 vials just to the west. Talk to
the bridge guard. Destroy the bridge guards and get 3 vials. Cross the bridge.
Enter Gibea.
PSWD: 00400021-6021000 [Gibea]
Chapter 2: Talk to the guards they die. The town had been attacked by
the black light. A guardian in the castle instructs you to see Samuel of Sidon.
Go northeast to the river of flames, in Arnon. Talk to the guardian and receive
the Dragon's Armour. [Dragon's Armour=Life LV 3]
PSWD: 40400031-6022000 [Gibea]
Cross the bridge and reach Sidon, talk to Samuel: He instructs you to go to the
cave of Gaza to see Hecate.
*North of Sidon: 6 vials
*Fight some Ghouls to gain 3 vials in the east of Sidon
*Visit Hecate in the Gaza Cave in the Northwest
Go northwest to the forest. In the forest you defeat the Death Balloon and
obtain the Magic Buster and the Night Drop. The death balloon is rather easy;
just fire away at it when it is blowing at you. When it shoots the bubbles, get
out of the way. Go to the cave of Gaza (north-west of Gibea) and talk to
Hecate. She makes the Candle of darkness out of the Night Drop. Go to the
center of the room (yellow portal) and use the Candle of Darkness. >Hecate
tells you to go to the Desert Sittem and gives you the wings of a fallen angel
(talk to her again). [Wings of a Fallen Angel= Wing LV 2] Head east out of the
cave. Continue east and talk to the guard. Go through the pass.
PSWD: 404031-7162114 [Gibea]
*Northeast desert 6 vials
*Northwest desert 6 vials
Go to the ruins in the southeastern part of the desert. Defeat the Sand Frog.
The Sand Frog is relatively easy, just note that those things he shoots at you
will paralyze your flying ability. >Obtain the Gremlin Stick and Magic
Tornado.
PSWD: 40504072-7202114 [Gibea]
Return to King Barr and operate the Gremlin Stick before him. He revives and
gives you his power. [Jump LV 3]
PSWD: 405072-7202117 [Gibea]
Head west from Gibea.
*Fight some ghouls for 3 vials
Talk to the bridge guard; he dies telling you that the Palace has been under
attack by the black light. Cross the bridge.
PSWD: 40504072-7222317 [Gibea]
PSWD: 5161513-8303428 [King's Palace]
All the people in the town just say, "Ku Ku Ku...". Talk to the King.
He tells you everything is "Okay" and that you should go back to
Etruria. You are not stupid. You know he is full of shit, so you decide to say
"no" and he gets mad, saying, "Ku Ku Ku...". Could he be
the cause of the problems? King Breager is not to strong he just hurts you big
time if you touch him, so don't (-2hps). > Go in the laboratory (right part
of palace) and take the essence of ghoul realm from a scientist. Your vitality
increases. [Essence of Ghoul Realm= Life LV 4]
PSWD: 52645203-8334428 [King's Palace]
*East fight some Ghouls for 3 vials
*East 6 vials
*North 6 vials
Go to the Northwest cave and recover the Achelon's Water. (First element needed
for the Soul stream)
PSWD: 52645203-8334428 [King's Palace]
Northeast is Topete, the oldest village in the Ghoul Realm; south of Topete is
a desert where the Dagon lurks. He lurks between three dunes. Destro Dagon and
take his Scales (Second element of soul stream).
*Topete is a town of advice, they tell you how to defeat the Doppelganger and
important stuff about Lethe
Return to the laboratory in the King's Palace.
PSWD: 546452223-8334428 [King's Palace]
In the laboratory, talk to the Scientist in the far left, he will make you the
Soul stream. (Handy thing to use in battle, it restores all your health)
PSWD: 54685223-8374428 [King's Palace]
Go to the tunnel (north-east) Destroy the Twin Guardians. Jump top of one of
the high bricks and keep firing the Magic Buster at them. Obtain the Candle of
Poltergeist. Go to Mt.Imaus. Talk to the man=he gives you his power. (Jump LV
4, Wing LV 3)
PSWD: 58685634-8304438 [King's Palace]
Go north of Topete and fight the guardian. Obtains 6 vials.
PSWD: 5685851-8304438 [King's Palace]
Go to the mirror palace. Here is how you can get through the palace. The
mirrors you warp through are posted here:
1.Furthest un-broken mirror
2.Top right un-broken mirror
3.Furthest un-broken mirror right (only one)
4.Top un-broken mirror
5.Top un-broken mirror
6. The fifth mirror from the left side on the bottom
7.Right un-broken mirror (only one)
8.Only un-broken mirror
Defeat the Doppelganger, if you didn't go to Topete then you might want to
consider not hitting him when he is in your physical form. A tip for making it
through the palace is to use the Magic Tornado and the Crystals to prevent them
from shattering in your direction.
Chapter 3: Talk to Lethe=he tells you a legend about the ghoul realm.
The Crisis of Ghoul Realm is when the black light covers it completely. The
black light brings death and destruction. Lethe gives you his candle, Lethe's
candle and requests that you get the powers of Rushifell and Verona in
Loosekeep.
PSWD: 69798955-9465549 [Lethe's Palace]
Go to Naga's path. Which one though? According to an ancient map I made, the
most southern Naga Path will take you to Loosekeep. I will post the map on here
eventually. Loosekeep is a pretty boring place and all. Go in each palace,
Rushifell will give you his powers (left side) the Magic Claw and Verona will
give you the Hippogriff's Feathers [Hippogriff's Feathers= Wing LV 4].
PSWD: 69798955-9505559 [Lethe's Palace]
Return to Lethe's Palace. Lethe puts his powers into the candle to; it becomes
the Candle of Ghould Realm.
PSWD: 69797945-9505559 [Lethe's Palace]
Go to Breager's Palace [east] and destroy Goza. Use the Candle of Ghoul Realm
on the Barrier (all that work eh? Just to bust through a barrier?). Use the
Magic Claw for maximum effect and hit him in the head. Suspend yourself in the
air and keep firing dodging his lasers, which kick your ass. >The
Demogorgon, which you can't see; admires your long journey and gives you all
this junk. You get the Mamon's Hoof [Mamon's Hoof= Jump LV 5] Bereal's Wings
[Bereal's Wings= Wing LV 5] Atlas Armour [Atlas Armour= Life LV 5] and the
Magic Fire (2x as strong as the Magic Claw). Fight King Breager. It's the same
deal just hit him in the head. Here is a trick. Suspend yourself directly in
front of his head and keep on firing the Dark Fire. Your wing power is at
maximum so you will never drop unless you get hit. Breager is done in seconds.
Chapter 4: The King of Ghoul Realm tells you about the human world and
lets you decide if you want to take it over or not, as king, (no thanks I would
say but he doesn't give you the chance to tell him).
Epilogue: Finally! After about 2 hours of hard work you have made it to
the end. Firebrand has saved the Ghoul Realm and the legend will be passed on
for generations and generations. Everything returns to its peaceful, but messed
up state.
