HISTORY AND BIOGRAPHY OF DYLAN MICHEAL DUBOIS

Ripper Longshanks (Dylan Micheal Dubois) was born in Sudbury Ontario Canada on August 20, 1973.  The youngest of five brothers, Ripper soon learned that being the youngest only ensured that he recieved more abuse than the others.  Growing up tough, Ripper soon learned that the only way to protect himself was to fight back and fight back hard. since martial arts was too expensive to enroll in and boxing did not appeal to the young man, Ripper joined the Golden Eagles wrestling club.  Here Ripper learned the art of Greco-Roman wrestling and quickly became the favourite of his teachers.  When not at the wrestling club, Ripper would practice his holds on his older brothers who did not appreciate the pain the youngest Dubois put them in.

In high school, Ripper was a stand-out on the wrestling team, taking the school to several district and provincial championships.  His senoir year though, saw things unravel quite rapidly for the young man. A heated rivalry with a team-mate saw Ripper kicked off the team when during practice Ripper placed his opponent in an modified half-nelson and when his rival attempted to break loose Ripper tightened the hold dislocating the shoulder and causing permanent ligament damage.  Barely passing the year, Ripper decided that university was not the way he wanted to go, and against his parents wishes he went to Montreal to the International Wrestling training school to learn the ins and outs of professional wrestling.

Once again excelling in his training and feeling he was ready for the pro circuit his trainers gave him the name of Maurice the Mad Miner and sent him on his way to get his first feel as a pro wrestler.  As Maurice, Ripper only succeeded in being a well liked mid-carder who always seemed to come out with the short end of the stick.  Finally tiring of the routine, Ripper scraped together enough money, and bought himself a one-way ticket to England where he hoped he would have more success.

Changing his name to Ripper Longshanks, he wreslted in several independent federations in England where he gained infamy for his devestating fnisher the RipSaw, and for his utter contempt for the fans.  This new attitude and his success, gained him the attention of Johann Shickelgruber, the president of the German Wrestling Federation who lured Ripper to his federation with a lucrative contract and a promise he would get a shot at one of the titles that existed in the GWF.  The only stipulation was that Ripper would have to become a face.

Sevral months into his stint in the GWF, Ripper got his first title shot, a match against the "Bavarian Butcher" Karl Langer for the European Heavyweight Belt. Even though he did not win, Ripper gained the respect of his fellow wrestlers, who learned Ripper was not a man to be trifled with.  Ripper eventually won the European Cruiserweight Title and his career shot off to new heights.  During his time as the Cruiserweight Champ, Ripper got involved with the mysterious Carl Stone and the two became a formidable tag team, winning the GWF tag team belts and defending them successfully for several months before losing them to the Gestapo.  Soon after the loss the dynamic tag team fell apart when Stone betrayed Ripper by turning Ripper's girlfriend Maria against them.  Not only that, but the Ripper lost his Cruiserweight title, when Stone and Maria arrived during a title defense.  An subsequent vicious counter ambush by Ripper on Stone left Stone in the hospital and Ripper without a job.  Seeing that Ripper was unstable and not wanting anymore of his top ranked wrestlers hurt, Shicklegruber cut Ripper lose, telling him in no uncertain circumstances that he was unwelcome in the GWF.

Not knowing where to go next Ripper was attracted to the states, by Jonathan Paris and the up and coming wrestling federation the NORTH AMERICAN WRESTLING ALLIANCE.  Staying as a face Ripper had a mediocre start there, wreslting several other mid-carders but not really achieving any serious success.  A alliance with the Black Widow, and the formation of the Commonwealth, consisting of Ripper, the Black Widow and Dan Geros lead to a tag team title shot against the X-Factor and the chance to join up with the New Regime.

Throughout all this, Ripper was dissatisfied, and began to grow more and more frustrated.  Finally Ripper turned his back on his friends and fans, striking out on his own.  Ripper soon became one of the most hated men in the NAWA, causing President Paris to sell Ripper to the EAWC with no hope of returning unless Ripper was to win the EAWC Heavyweight Title.  Ripper did that, beating the EAWC champ at Martial Law.

A surprise turn of events once again changed Ripper's career.  During a taping of Thursday Night Terror, Paris called Ripper out and told him that his banishment to Japan was a ploy so Paris could buy out the wrestling federation.  Paris then gave Ripper an offer that was hard to refuse.  Join the Corporate Circle of Chaos and have a chance at the American title, or be dragged back down to mid-carder status. With the crowd screaming for Ripper to turn his back on Paris, Ripper once again turned his back on the fans and joined the Circle.  Defeating Coney Lethal Ripper won the American Title from the Havoc member only to lose it a short while later to The Mad Mailman Pyscho Steve.
With fellow COC member Nebula, Ripper formed Chaotic Rage and soon won the NAWA Tag Belts off of Nick Cyprus and Xanibus.  The tandem was virtually unstoppable, holding the belts for a then record time until dropping them to the Illusion(Big Ben and MaXXUm).

Soon after losing the belts Ripper started to become disillusioned with the Circle of Chaos and slowly started to disassociate himself with the original stable of the NAWA.  A very public display of disgust towards Napalm was the final straw and Ripper turned his back on the COC, striking out once again on his own.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Ripper set his sights on the NAWA Heavyweight belt held by Hardcore Nick Cyprus. A violent and disturbing feud was just starting to get underway between the Hardcore Legend and the Loose Cannon when the NAWA was suddenly closed due to allegations of fraud and mismanagement by it's owners.  At the time of the closure it was rumoured that Ripper was sure to be a shoe-in as the next Heavyweight Champion of the North American Wrestling Alliance.
Time will only tell where the Loose Cannon will end up.
