Here is what you can expect from the Rising Tides Core for the week of September 5 - 8, 2006:
For the first day of classes, please remember to bring all school supplies purchased already (see supply list).
PARENTS: For the first day of school, you AND your student have homework! Please read through all paperwork carefully, sign it, and return it on Wednesday, September 6, 2006. We greatly appreciate your help with this task.
MATH: Ms. Paxton will be working on teambuilding and classbuilding activities with the students as well as discussing rules and procedures that must be followed in the math classroom.
SCIENCE: Ms. Brinkley will be discussing science safety in addition to rules and procedures in the science classroom.
ENGLISH: Ms. Wainscott will begin working with writing.
SOCIAL STUDIES: Ms. Walker will discuss Unit 1 in social studies which includes physical regions and the first Americans.
REMINDERS:
1. Remember that the MORNING HOMEWORK TUTORIAL is open every morning Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 8:30am in the cafeteria. Students who arrive early to school MUST go to the cafeteria and work on their homework and/or studying.
