Good Charlotte's best yet.
I had no idea they had something this dark and edgy in them... a huge and wonderful step from their previous pop album "The Young and the Hopeless". "The Chronicles..." has dark, creative lyrics that make the CD really great. Other than the pop tune "I Just Wanna Live", everything else is much more like rock. Although, "I Just Wanna Live" is still a great song. Pick this CD up, it's sooo worth it. I also had the privilege of seeing Good Charlotte live in concert on July 23rd... it was an awesome show! Check concert listings.... maybe they're coming somewhere near you.
My favourite songs on the album are: "The Truth", "Walk Away (Maybe)" and "In This World (Murder)"... the last of the three I am convinced is about murdering animals for food, clothing etc... very powerful!!! As we all know, some members of the band are vegetarian... like me! |
