Meteor
"Happy, happy, joy, joy! Happy, happy, joy, joy!" Meteor sung as the three grils entered their Dorm. "Finally out of that theatre! Finally out of that theatre!"
"Meteor," Nell groaned as she threw down her bag.
"What?!" Meteor said as Nell walked out of the dorm. "What?! What I do?!"
Raven stared out into space as Meteor stared at her. Laughing, Meteor waved her hand in front of Raven's eyes. She flinched a bit, but didn't make any other moves. Meteor laughed as she flopped back on the beds they had been provided, "Well, Rav, what do you think about all this? Seems too good to be true."
Raven nodded slightly as she looked about her, "It certainly does, Meteor. It certainly does."
"You all right? You sound like you're under some sort of trance," Meteor said. "Rav? You all right?"
"Huh?" Raven sighed, starring blankly at Meteor. "Yeah, I'm all right."
Meteor laughed as she thumped Raven on the back, "Perk up, dear. My guess is that it hasn't sunken in yet."
Raven nodded as she sunk down onto her bed, "Meteor, what do you think about all this?"
"I think it's great. I finally get to get out of that funky theatre!" Meteor exclaimed happily. "I've always been the sharding stage manager, and I was sick of it."
"Well, this was my first time as something other than lights," Raven sighed.
"So, you got to do sets. That's not a big step up," Meteor sighed. "THIS is a big step up!"
  "Yeah," Raven sighed. "I'll miss..."
"Don't even say it!" Meteor exclaimed. "Don't even say it. You're going to miss that dragonspit stage. You're going to miss Telven yelling at the 'lowly' tech crew. You're going to miss..."
"ALL RIGHT! All right, Meteor, I get the point," Raven shouted, jumping up from the bed. "I'm going for a walk."
"What I say?" Meteor sighed as she watched Raven storm out of the room. "Oh, well. She just needs to calm down."
Just then, Nell walked into the Dorm, looking behind her as if she was watching Raven, "What was that about?" She asked Meteor.
"Not sure," Meteor laughed. "Maybe it was something I said."
Nell laughed, "Don't worry about it. She'll cool off in awhile. It seems like everyone is fowl tempered now."
  "Drake?" Meteor asked.
"Yeah," Nell sighed. "He's talking in circles, and refuses to tell me what's bothering him. I swear I'm going to...oh, never mind. I don't have the strength for it anyway," Nell sighed, flopping back on her bed.
"You guys are a bunch of glum guses," Meteor pouted, standing. "I'm going to go see if I can find someone who isn't so down in the dumps about this whole thing. Maybe one of the bonders from somewhere else..."
Meteor walked out of the dorm into the sunlight. She glanced about for someone to latch onto. Someone who looked like they would be fun. None of the people out and about looked like any fun. That's when she spotted Telven bounding towards her. She started to back up slowly, not wanting to look like she was trying to run, but that's what she wanted to do.
  "Meteor!" Telven exclaimed.
She couldn't go anywhere know. He knew she had seen him. She smiled weakly as he patted her on the back.
"We're running a rehersal tomorrow. I've gotten Drake to agree with it, but I haven't found Nell, yet," Telven sighed.
  "Are you sure..."
"I've got to talk to Baeris still, but I'm sure she'll think it a grand idea!" Telven sighed. "I want to see you bright and early tomorrow morning."
Meteor began to protest, but Telven was already dashing away. Probably going to find Nell or talk to Baeris. Meteor sighed as she started back to the Dorm. It was getting late anyway so she might as well go to sleep. She entered the Dorm quietly. Nell and Raven were both already asleep. She tip-toed over to her bed and laid down. She'd have a good sleep tonight. She would soon bond and wouldn't have to work about running another show again.

Meteor laughed as she stood on the sands. As her group of friends trickled away, she began to get worried. She hated being alone in someplace she wasn't use to.
Suddenly, another dragon appeared on the sands, a pale green, with even paler though discernable grey-white stripes across all of her body. She had a strange barbed fin on her neck, and strong looking long, pointed wings.

My brothers have already bonded, she spoke to Meteor, and I am lonely without their company.
“Well Halkath, I can hardly blame you! I like being around people, and all my friends are already bonded! Those guys went and left me here!” Meteor laughed, hugging the sharp and bold dragon tightly.
Which ones are they? Halkath asked, piering over her bonder's shoulder.
"Those, over there," Meteor says, pointing to her little group. "What's wrong with Telven?"

Which one's Telven? Halkath sighes.
"The one with the blue that looks more like a full grown flit than a dragon," Meteor says.
  Halkath chuckled,
It is a cute dragon though. Meteor, go ask him.
Meteor nodded as she grabbed a bowl of meat and settle next to Telven to feed Halkath, "Hey, Telven, what's the matter?"
"I'm so stupid. Why didn't I see it before? Why did I say all that? It is the way I feel, use to feel," Telven mumbled.
  "Telven?!" Meteor exclaimed.
Telven jumped, his blue turning and hissing at Meteor, "Hush, Muzleyth, Meteor, what is it?"
  "What's wrong?" Meteor sighes.
"I was just thinking," Telven sighes, turning to look at Drake.
"About Drake and his green?" Meteor asked. "Don't worry about it, Telven. I bet Drake thinks we all hate him now."
"But I actually said stuff," Telven sighed. "He probably thought I was talking about him."
"You had no idea," Meteor sighed. "Go over and talk to him. He'll understand."
Telven nodded, "I'll talk to him, but I don't really think he'll understand."
Telven stood and started to walk away when his blue latched onto his leg, "Ow, Muzleyth."
Meteor grinned. She had never seen Telven look so pleasant. Halkath nipped at her rider's leg. The little lighting steaked green crooned softly, begging for the piece of meat Meteor held.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Halkath," Meteor sighed.

It's all right, Halkath sighed. I understand.
