Cixoth growled and lunged at Q'baz. Chuckling, Q'baz pulled himself out from under his Cixoth.

"Did C'leb hurt you?" Cixoth asked.
"No, I just got yelled out," Q'baz sighed. "D'mar stopped him from doing any real damage, though my pride certainly is shot."
  Cixoth growled,
"I'll bite him at the next lesson."
"No, you won't," Q'baz said. "We're going to pay attention at the next lesson and make up for today."
  Cixoth sighed,
"All right, but I'm still not happy about him yelling at you."
Q'baz sighed, shaking his head, "Swim?"
Cixoth's eyes changed from the anger of red to the purple of excitement,
"Yeah! Swim!"

Luvina laughed as she piered down at the box of kittens. They were so cute. She picked one of them up and hugged it close to her. The deep purring in the kitten's gut was soothing and took away most of her nervousness.
"I think I'll keep one," Luvina sighed. "That is all right, right?"
"I'm sure it's not a problem," The man who had brought the kittens said. "Is that the one you want?"
"Yeah," Luvina sighed, setting the striped kitten down. "He's really cute, and I need something to keep me company."

Kira hissed at Cixoth as the red tried to eat her.
  "Cixoth!" Q'baz exclaimed. "Stop it!"
  Cixoth snorted,
"That stupid flit scratched my nose!"
Kira crooned sadly as she landed on Q'baz's shoulder, "She didn't mean to, Cix."

"I want her gone!" Cixoth exclaimed. "Give her to someone else!"
"She's attached to me, Cix," Q'baz laughed. "Not quite as strongly as you, but she's still attached."
"Well, I don't like it," Cixoth growled, "but I guess I'll learn to live with it."
"That's my Cixoth," Q'baz laughed as Kira chirped happily.

Luvina watched the twilight of the night sky over the Healing Den. It seemed as though that had been all she had been doing for the past few weeks she had been there, watching the sky. Maybe she was wishing that Quibaz would come bursting into the sky and swooped down to meet her in the courtyard. No, it would be Q'baz now. If he had bond, that was. She sighed as she began to muse over what color Quibaz would have bonded. A black maybe, but those were rare. A red would probably look best with his firey red hair.
Luvina sighed and shook her head. There was no way of telling until she saw him again, and the way it was going, it would be quite awhile until she did.
Maybe not, Luvina thought to herself as the call for the candidates rushes into her barracks. She files out into the hall and down onto the large sands. she rocks nervely. Only a few eggs are rocking, but it's still several in this clutch of nearly a 100.
A few eggs hatched, the dragons not catching her attention until a light colored green hatched from Lastineth’s eggs, about as opposite as she could be from her darker sister who hatched earlier. No neck ridge, little head knobs, and brilliantly mint-colored wings. Luvina danced across the hot sands, thanking her training that she could toe-walk and spare herself the trouble of blisters. The mint-green dragoness waved her wings up and down.
“Asgilth, it’s like the sun is on your wings already...” she said, and they exited with the others to get food.

Cixoth called as he spotted Luvina arrive at Wild River upon the back of a large green dragon. Q'baz smiled up at the green dragon.
"Cixoth, it's Luvina, isn't it?" Q'baz asked, smiling.
"You bet!" Cixoth cried, bulging at the green.
"It's Asgilth," The green said, landing. "Luvina, do you know these two?"
"Yes, love, this is Q'baz and his bond," Luvina sighed, smiling. "What's his name?"
"Cixoth," Q'baz said, beaming. "She's beautiful, Luvina."
