V'run and Perscituss
V'run watched the water swirl about him. Being in a space completely under water made him a bit nervous, but since it didn't seem to bother Perscituss, he promised himself that he would try and not let it bother him.
"Yes, V'run, what can I do for you?" Altus's Covelord, Teu'loi, asked as he stepped into his office.
"Um sir, I'd like to return to Rip Tide early," V'run said. "My mother came by yesterday to inform me that I should request to return for special training."
"What sort of training can they give you that we can't?" Teu'loi asked.
"Covelord Training, sir," V'run sighed. "That's what they want me back for. I'm going to take over from G'riu when he decides to retire."
"Wondeful," Teu'loi said. "Having a Covelord come from our first clutch would be quite a wondeful thing."

V'run was relieved that he was allowed to leave Altus early. It wasn't that he didn't like the wondeful Cove that gave him his Perscituss, but those underwater Covelets made him nervous. Besides, it would be good to get hom and see his family and start his Covelord Training.
"You ready, Perscituss?" V'run sighed as he tightened the plastic harness he used to stay on his bond.
"I'm ready to see my new home!" Perscituss exclaimed as V'run climbed aboard him.
"Kay, Tuss, let's go," V'run said, patting Perscituss's head as the blue moved out of the Altus Bay.

"So, this is Verita Island," Perscituss crooned as they drifted into the bay.
"Yes, Perscituss, this is the entrance to the Verita Bay," V'run sighed as he took in the view. "Let's rest on the Beach over there. Then we can head over to the Institute so you can met my sister."
Perscituss blew bubbles as he moved into the shallow waters. V'run leaped off his bond and splashed into the water. He waded over to the Beach and leveled out a place in the sand to pitch his tent. Removing his gear from Perscituss's back and throwing it next to his spot, he pitched his tent and then wadded back into the water.
"Sorry about loading you down, pal," V'run sighed. "The load will be lighter tomorrow, I promise."
"Of course you promise," Perscituss scoffed. "We're eatting half the load tonight."
  "
You're eatting half the load tonight!" V'run exclaimed, struggling to pull a large pack of skirr meat out of one of his bags. "Hungry?"
"You know it!" Perscituss exclaimed, leaping on top of V'run.
"GET OFF!!!" V'run sighed, grunting under the weight of Perscituss's massive body.
"OH! Sorry, V'run," Perscituss crooned, slithering off of his bond. "I keep forgetting I've grown."
"And matured," V'run chuckled, ruffling Perscituss's new neck fins. "All right, you big sack of blubber, here's your meat. Now, don't eat enough to get sick."
Perscituss dove into the skirr meat as V'run unpacked his meal. He stared out at the ocean as he ate, the sharp, icy Verita winds whipping about him. Suddenly, a black head shot up from under the water. Looking up from his meal, Perscituss crooned a welcome to the fellow sea dragon.
It looked to V'run like there was so astride the black, but he couldn't see that far out. He stood and waved, then spotted someone waving back. As the dragon neared, he noticed the large shell on the dragon's back, and the lovely black haired beauty riding her.
"Good day," The girl said. "My name is Nola."

She's unique, but she is a Verita sea dragon. East Island, Deep Sea, or so she says, Perscituss crooned.
  "East Island?" V'run asked.
"Yes," Nola said. "This beach is their clutching area. Zenriss and I are here to ready it for her clutch."
"Do humans gather for their bonding?" V'run asked.
"Oh, mercy, no," Nola laughed. "There are only four humans with our pod."
V'run nodded, "Well, I think sea dragons such as these should be intergrated into the current population. They're quite wonderful. How'd they develop this shell?"
"It's the deep sea origin," Zenriss, the black, crooned. "We need it for protection since most of Alskyr's ocean predators live in the deep."
V'run nodded, "Understandable. Where does your Pod lodge?"
"Just East of here, there's a small underwater Cave. We have to go a ways before we get to an area the human/dragon bonds can stay though," Nola sighed.
"Can we go?" Perscituss crooned, nudging V'run.
"I don't see why not," Zenriss said. "You have been trained for deep sea dives, right?"
"Ummm, no," Perscituss and V'run mumbled together.
"You haven't," Zenriss sighed. "Oh, well. I'll train you myself. I'll have to alter the lesson a bit, but it shouldn't take long."

V'run was extremely impressed with the size and surroundings of Nola's Cove. He, soon after, reported them to Rip Tide, and a new Cove was built there: Lavure Cove.
