Materials: Speed Cro Sheen, one ball.
Crochet hook size E or any size that will get you the correct gauge
Gauge:  9 double crochets =1 inch (about 3 double crochets per cm)
My double crochets are tall, about 6/16ths of an inch (aprox 8 millimeters)

Note:  You'll be working in rounds.  Mark the beginning of each round with a piece of contrasting yarn.

Note #2:  Optional:  work in front loop of double crochets.

Note #3:  These are only guidelines, but I try to make them as specific as possible. Email if you need some help with this:
riverglorious@yahoo.com  The idea here is to use the guidelines to make one the size you need or want.

Round 1- Chain 3, double crochet in 3rd chain from hook. Make 9 aditional double crochet in same chain.  Do not join. Place
marker here.

Round 2- Half double crochet, double crochet in beginning chain 2 of Round 1, 2 double crochet in each of the next 10 stitches

Round 3- dc 21 st, 1 double crochet in the next stitch.

Round 4- , 2 double crochet in next stitch 1 double crochet in next stitch  about 21 times

Round 5-  2 double crochet in next stitch, dc in each of the nxt 2 stitches all around.  If your work is starting to ruffle, unravel a
few stitches and start to double crochet in next 3 stitch, 2 double crochet in next, to see if that will flatten it out a bit more.

Round 6- By this next round you should be working 1 double crochet in each of the next 4 or 5 stitches, and 2 in the next.

Round 8 should have  about 7 before working two double crochet in a stitch.

Round 9 should have 8 before working 2 double crochet in a stitch.  It should be sort of curving upwards, since you're not
increasing as often as you should.

Round 10, and 11 should just be making 1 double crochet in each stitch all around until the last 3 stitches, then work:  half double
crochet in the next stitch, single crochet in the next stitch, slip stitch in last stitch.

Just make sure you when you end this round that you have an even number of stitches.  How you got there isn't so important. At
the end of this round,

Round 12- Chain 3 (counts as first double crochet and chain stitch, now and throughout.), skip next stitch, and work (double
crochet, chain 1,skip next stitch) all around.  End with a slip stich in the second chain.

Round 13- Slip stitch into first chain 1 space, chain 3, skip next stitch; work (double crochet, chain 1, skip next stitch) all around.
Join with a slip stitch .

Round 14- Repeat Round 13.

Round 15  Chain 2, double crochet in each double crochet and each chain space, join with a slip stitch on top of 1st double
crochet.

Round 16 and 17- Chain 2, double crochet in each double crochet, join with a slip stitch.

You can use this same pattern with Size 10 mercerized cotton thread.  You'll just have to adapt it to this thread by making more rounds, making sure they are flat during the first 15 rounds or so, and then increasing less and less until you work evenly (no increases) all around for about 2-3 rounds.  Then proceed to this pattern's Round 12.

God bless you!
