Correct way of doing a yarn over (YO)
Notice that the hook was brought in front
and then the YO was made.
Incorrect way of doing a Yarn Over (YO)
The hook came from behind. It's harder
to start your stitches if you've made your chains like this. :o(
Insert the hook in the second chain (not loop) from hook.
The hook is in the chain and ready to pull up a loop. Don't strangle
the stitch you're making!
Just gently pull it up and lift your hook
up a little bit, so it will be nice and fluffy.
If you pull too tight, it will make a hole
under the stitch.
The first single crochet.
For the next one, Jackie, you'll just go ahead and use the next chain.
Don't skip chains unless you're starting a new row, okay?
