My name is Joe Carter Jr. I was born in Spencer Ok, December 14, 1971, to Joe Sr. and Harriette Carter.

We later moved to Bakersfield CA., where I was raised.  I am the youngest of six children. My siblings are Arnold Lee Lindsey, Deborah Ann Edison,(passed away) Mark A. Carter Sr. Kelvin M. Carter, Tyrone A. Carter Sr.

My secular training was done at Munsey Elementary, Curran Jr. High, and South High School. I graduated  from South High in June of 1990. I went on to Bakersfield Community Jr. College, then transferred to Selma University, in Selma Al. I also went to American Baptist College in Nashville TN, after a year, I transferred back to Selma Univeristy, where I graduated In May of 99. I recieved my B.A. in Bible and Pastoral Studies.

I recieved my spiritual training  at the People's Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Ishmeal Kimbrough Jr. There I accepted the lord as my personal Savior at the age of 11. At PMBC, I was an active member, I was on the Church Finance Committe, and the usher board. I was a Supervisor of the Youth Department,a Church Counselor, and Assistant Minister of Music. I also sang and directed the PMBC chior. In August of 1992, I accepted my call into the ministry.

I have been fortunate to serve with some of Gods great preachers. In Bakesfield Ca, under Pastor I. Kimbrough Jr. In Selma AL, at the Ebenezzar Baptist Church, under Dr. F.D. Reese, and at Antioch Baptist Church, under the Rev. Marcel Kellar, now I am at Bethany Baptist Church, in Atlanta GA, under the leadership of Rev. W.L. Sullivan.

I am currently residing in Atlanta Ga, where I am about to purse and obtain a M.Div.

I am a down to earth person, I enjoy..meeting new people, traveling,.fishing, and hunting. I also like playing dominoes, spades, biz wiz. I love to go to the movies, do some bowling, and just hang out with friends.
