RE: Letter of Recommendation, Richard Wood
I have had the distinct pleasure of Rich Wood being a valued
member of my Quality Department for more than three years.
During this
period, Rich has continually proven himself to be both a consummate
professional, and a leader.
His technical talent is incredible. Through his phenomenal
computing skills, coupled with his ability to work closely with
our Quality
Engineering staff, our department processes became web-enabled. This created the
path for our department
to become the Boeing benchmark for Manufacturing Self
Examination (MSE). His skills with relational databases and
process
monitoring helped to create a totally electronic process evaluation form,
schedule tracking and trending metrics,
reinforcing our process of assuring
quality products.
Rich is the group’s informal leader. His logic, system and
procedural knowledge are unsurpassed. He has an innate ability
to seek out
the facts and develop lasting corrective action. Recognizing that his teammates
respect and value his opinion,
I count on Rich to help implement new
processes and ideas into the work group.
In addition to our professional relationship, I value Rich’s friendship. His deep insight and mature thinking belies his age. His frankness and friendship extends to many people, in and out of our department. Rich readily assists others, and always makes ethical decisions.
