A disciple of Swami Virajanandaji. Joined the Order at Madras Math in 1944 and sannyasa from Swami Shankaranandaji in 1954. Editor of the Vedanta Kesari, went to New York as assistant to Swami Nikhilanandaji in 1959, served in the Hollywood and San Francisco centres, reurned to India in 1967 and became the Secretary of the Chandigarh ashrama, became Jt-Editor of the Prabuddha Bahrata in 1968, later President of Advaita Ashrama, Mayavati. Secretary of Delhi ashrama in 1976 and passed away on 11.06.1983 at Seva Pratisthan when he came to visit ailing Revered Vireshwaranannaji at Belur Math. He was a good orator, scholar and prolific writer. He authored many books including: Thakurer Naren O Narener Thakur, Swamijir Sri Ramakrishna sadhana, The Mind and Its Control, Can One be Scientific yet Spiritual etc. and translated the "Life of Ramanuja" from Bengali by Swami Ramakrishnanandaji.
