Born at Burdwan (West Bengal) in 1892 and a disciple of Holy Mother. Joined the order in 1915 and had sannyasa from Swami Shivanandaji in 1923. Prior to that, he served 4 years as Jt Editor of the Bengali journal "Udbodhan"..
He served as the Private Secretary to Swami Shivanandaji. Later, he founded the Ramakrishna ashrama at Kalimpong and was the head of this ashrama for some years and later at Delhi. He passed away on 1 January 1970 at the age of 77.
