Shri E.Srikrishna of Satklavahini from Kakinada
Played Instrumental Music (on ten instruments successively) for 45 minutes on 16th of November, 2007 in Vivekananda Auditorium.
An Introduction of Shri E. Srikrishna
A student of MBA and a diploma holder in instrumental music, Srikrishna was brought up in a religious and cultural atmosphere created by his proud parents. He started playing mridangam from his childhood days and was trained by Sh.P.Subba Rao and Sh.N.Mallikarjun Rao. Later on he started playing tabla, ghantam, kanjira,morsing,tape etc.
Srikrishna was selected as a mridanga artist, dholak artist and tabla artist by All India Radio. He was awarded Gold Medal by the Andhra University for his outstanding performances on mridangam and harmonium. Srikrishna was also selected for spiritual training and cultural activities for 45 days at Swami Dyanandada Saraswati’s Ashrams at Coimbatore and Rishikesh.
Srikrishna received “Bala Medhavi” award from All India Radio and TV for playing on various musical instruments continuously. On the occasion of Republic Day in the year 2004 Srkrishna accompanied artists on Tabla and other instruments and staged a cultural programme at Teen Murti Bhavan. He has received “Real Andhrawala” award for playing 10 specialized musical instruments in Enadu TV programme. He has got the prestigious “Ghantasala Memorial Award”.
To propagate classical, devotional, light, folk, patriotic & cine music for national integration, Srikrishna started “Ganavahini”, a musical group on the Independence Day on 15th August 2007.
