Narayana Seva in Faridabad Area

On 18th November 2007, as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, there was Narayana seva in the morning where a batch of volunteers led by Delhi swamis of the Order left for Faridabad to distribute foodstuffs, clothes etc. to poor people in a Village.

On the way to Shraddhananda Dera

As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Consecration of the Temple of Sri Ramakrishna, the Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, organised Narayana Seva at Village Shraddhananda Dera in Faridabad on 18th November, 2007 (Sunday).  Accordingly, a party of 32 devotees including 8 monastic members of the Ramakrishna Order – 2 from the Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, and six monks from other centres -- led by Swami Ganadevanandaji distributed the following    items :-

 

1.                  Sarees for the mothers.

2.                  Bed sheets.

3.                  Food packets. 

           

The bus carrying the monastic members and volunteers left the Ashrama at 8.15 a.m. and reached Shraddhananda Dera by 10.00 a.m. There, the party was given a warm welcome by one Mr. Maya Ram, the Mukhya of the Village and others.

Immediately on reaching the place, the function started after offering the foodstuffs  to Sri Sri Thakur, Sri Ma and Swamiji.   The programme began with  a welcome speech by Shri Maya Ram and Introductory remarks by Shri Ranjan Basu.

This was followed by a brief yet very effective and inspiring speech by Swami Jayadanandaji Maharaj, the Swami in charge of the Medical Centre of the Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi.  At the end Swami Ganadevanandaji gave the benediction to all he poor villagers assembled there.

Then at about 10.15 a.m. the Swamis and volunteers started the  distribution of  food packets and clothes brought for them along with toffees to the children brought by volunteer Shri Chari.

Everything was done in a disciplined way and the function was over peacefully by 10.35 a.m., and the bus left Shraddhananda Dera at 10.40 a.m.  The  party reached Mission at about 12 Noon.
