The Narayana Sewa in connection with 172nd Birthday Celebration of Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna was organized on Sunday, the 25th February, 2007 at the Kirbi Place Dhobi Ghat (a jhuggi colony by the side of a drainage), Delhi Cantonment. On this occasion Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi distributed Sarees for Mothers, woolen blankets, sweaters for the school-going children and food packets in jhuggi colony.
A bus was hired to carry the monastic members and volunteers with goods for distribution at Jhuggis.

After Ramakrishna Sharanam distribution started
The Jhuggi is regularly visited by some of our volunteers who have been providing free coaching to the school going children of the inhabitants of this slum for the last four years. Nowadays there are around 56 students who are getting the benefit of free coaching in Basti.
