Hi, this is the page where I can babble about I, me and myself (and get away with it too....)

My name is Ravi Kiran. I was brought up in the garden city of Bangalore. I did my initial schooling at Bethany High (which is in Koramangala) and later at the Frank Anthony Public School.

I am an alumnus of BITS, Pilani from where I graduated in May 2000. 

I worked for a networking startup called Ionic Microsystems in the area of broadband-access solutions including PacketCable, CableHome, etc.

I now work for Cisco Systems, Bangalore

My most passionate hobby is Carnatic music. Well actually, it is more than just a hobby - it is a way of life!!!

I perform regularly and have sung at several leading venues in Bangalore, Chennai and elsewhere. Some of my important performances have been for the Madras Music Academy ('Spirit of Youth' festival), Krishna Gana Sabha ('Gokulashtami' festival) besides other leading organisations in Bangalore. I have also won a few awards and prizes including the Best Vocalist prize in the national level music competitions conducted by several prominent institutions such as the All India Radio, Bangalore Gayana Samaja, etc.  

I also do my bit for a non-profit organisation called Ananya which is based in Bangalore and is commited to the cause of Carnatic music.
