Cibotium schiedei - Mexican Treefern IDENTIFYING FEATURES: *  soft wispy reddish hairs on crown & stipe base, becoming quite silvery white as the crozier opens *  narrow pinnules with very long tapered tips *  sori often extending beyond the leaf margin (especially near the tips of the pinnules), so as to be visible from the top of the frond, and giving fertile pinnae a quite different appearance to sterile pinnae
