I am currently researching the Marmont Family History and have considerable information on my direct line back to William Marmont the convict who arrived in Aust. on the 12^th June 1824. William was born on the 21^st August 1804 at Stroudwater, Bisley, Gloucestershire, England. He died at Bolong River, NSW Australia, on the 15^th September 1866 aged 61 years.

Williams' parents were John Marmont and Elizabeth Hall who were married 24^th July 1803 at Eastcombe, near Stroudwater Gloucestershire England. William was sentenced to death but got life in the Colony of New South Wales.
