This lone entrance arch of a colonial building, probably built by Dutch, stands along Jaffna - Point Pedro road. This is considered as important as this occupies the site of the palace of the last king of Jaffna kingdom named, Sangili. Therefore it is known as "Sangili Thoppu Valaivu" meaning "The Arch of Sangili's Garden".
