Pvt. Allen Mullins was born in 1832 to Solomon Mullins and Darcus Kelly. He joined the 39th Infantry Regiment of Kentucky 4 Nov., 1862, and served 3 years. In 1866 he married Ruth Jones at Lanes, KY. He died 4 Oct., 1916, at Avondale WVa., He is buried in the Mullins Cemetery at Avondale, WVa.
