ISAAC STAPLETON: Co. G, 39th KY (UNION) Mounted Infantry. He joined the company on November 14, 1862, at Peach Orchard, Lawrence County, Kentucky, with his age given as 18 years. He was mustered into the company on Jan. 12, 1863, at Peach Orchard. He can be found on the rolls for September-October and November-December, 1864. He was slated to forfeit 16 days pay. He was listed present until he was mustered out at Louisville, Kentucky, on September 15, 1865, as a Private. He is my 4th Great-Uncle.
