Private William McGuire, Co. F

Born in Floyd County, KY, around 1838. He was listed as 26 years old upon his enrollment at Louisa, KY, on Mar. 27, 1864. He had blue eyes, black hair, and a dark complexion. He was 6'3" tall. In May-Jun. '64, he was on detached service. He died on Jun. 15, 1864, of a gunshot received in action at the Battle of Cynthiana on Jun. 12, 1864. It is not known where he was buried, but he may have been interred at Cynthiana near the battle site.
