Marshall Mullins was my gggrandfather. He enlisted on the 21st of Apr., 1863, in Louisa, Kentucky, as a private. On the 11th of June, 1864, he mustered into "C" Company, Kentucky 39th Mounted Infantry. He deserted on 11 Aug., 1864, and returned on 6 Oct., 1864, to "C" Company. Marshall was born ca. 1824 in Kentucky; he died 12 Feb., 1897, in Webster County, WV. Marshall married Nancy Roberts on 15 Jul., 1844, in Logan County, WV.
