Richard Webb was born in Virginia about 1837.  He was married to Elizabeth Hagerman who was also born in Virginia on April 6, 1842.  He enrolled in the 39th Kentucky Mounted Infantry, Company F, on December 5, 1862.  He mustered-in on the day the regiment was accepted into U.S. service (February 16, 1863), at Peach Orchard.  According to the AG's Report, he was with the regiment continuously until muster-out on September 15th, 1865, at Louisville.  Richard and Elizabeth were married for 66 years when he died on March 20, 1917.  They are both buried in the Holt-O'Neal-Bussey Cemetery in Busseyville, Lawrence County, Ky.
