Welcome to the unofficial home of the  Royal Military College of Canada Paladins.
Bienvenue à la page web non-officelle des

RMC PALADINS (REDMEN) HOME PAGE
The Royal Military College of Canada has a vast history in Canadian Interuniversity hockey.
The hockey program at RMC was established between 1884 and 1885 and is credited with playing
one of the first organized hockey games in North America against Queen's University in Kingston, Ont
in November 1886 on what is now Confederation Basin in Downtown Kingston.

Throughout the early part of the 20th century, the RMC Redmen played in the Canadian Interuniversity Athletics Union (CIAU) with such schools as Queen's, McGill and the University of Toronto.

After a hiatus of six years, RMC gained a spot back in the CIAU in 1983 as part of the Ontario University Association (OUA) Mid-East Divison with Queen's, the University of Toronto and Ryerson University. In 1996 as part of the cultural change occuring at the college, RMC offically changed the team nickname from the
Redmen to the Paladins.   In July 2001 the CIAU changed their name to the Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS).

The Paladins play in
Constantine Arena. The rink holds a capacity of 1500 people and has recently undergone renovations in 1997 adding a weight room, equipment room, trainers room and expanding the coaches office and dressing room.

As part of their OUA schedule, RMC plays Queen's in the annual
Carr-Harris Cup, named after a storied Kingston hockey family.

In addition to their CIS schedule, RMC plays the Unites States Military Academy (Army) Black Knights, in the annual
West Point Weekend hockey game. This series, conceived in 1923, is billed as the longest running continious international series in the world.

The aim of this page is to provide a means for Ex-Cadets to keep current on the ongoings of the RMC hockey team and in the future to provide a forum for the benefit of the team and all concerned. At the start of the season the page will be updated weekely depending on the availability of the webmaster. Should you have any opinions, concerns, or ideas on how to improve the page feel free to contact me. Thanks for the support.

WEB PAGE STATUS

Ladies and Gentlemen.  I must apologize for the lack of updates on this site for this 07/08 OUA Hockey season.  For the remainder of this season and for next these updates will be minimal as I am currently training for a 9-month deployment to AFGHANISTAN in April 2008.  With all my current training, courses etc I have limited regular access to the Internet in order to update my web page.  To follow the RMC Paladins I suggest checking out the links on the left for the remainder of the 2007/08 season or the following websites
www.universitysport.ca or www.oua.ca or the RMC hockey group page on Facebook.  I thank you for all your support over the last years.
