Day 6

Ypsilon Lake

We were going to hike to Black Lake and beyond, but 15 minutes into the hike it was obvious that Andy still wasn't feeling well. Instead of charging up the trail, he was lagging behind my slow pace, so we turned around.

After getting him settled in at the cabin I headed for the Lawn Lake Trailhead and hiked UP to Ypsilon Lake. This is a hike where you'd really appreciate company. It just keeps going uphill until you're about a half mile from the lake, and the heavy forest elimates any chance of great views into the distance.

Clouds would build up most every afternoon,
but it only rained once.
