Critical Care Nursing - Doesn't mean
the ICU's Anymore! A seminar ( 1 or 2, 6 Actual / 8 hour
day{s}) that promotes the idea that Critical Care is being used by most Nurses,
regardless of their Nursing Units or Specialty, today. This is due to the
pressures of Nursing shortages, bed demands and Admin. It provides the ICU
and Non-ICU Nurse a look into the others scope of practice and is designed to
promote a better working relationship, understanding and appreciation between
all Nurses, regardless of the assignment. It is also designed to promote a
outlook of the critical nature of Nursing and our contribution to the over all
health team. It also looks at the Health Care Team and the
responsibilities of the Nurse to coordinate and utilize the team to promote
better patient understanding and an increase in Quality of Care.
From Street to Street, a
collective look at the hospitalization process and the nurses perspective to the
Health Care Team! A Seminar ( 1 or 2, 6
Actual / 8 hour days{s}) that examines the hospitalization process starting from
the "Golden Hour", ER, ICU, General Floor, Rehab, discharge and
follow-up care. Examines each area looking for increased patient care /
outcome and how the transition from each area to next. Gives overview that
helps the nursing staff and ancillary personnel grasp the process and their individual
contribution. Promotes better team work between units and open lines of
thought and communication to have a better outcome.
Alternate Nursing Careers in Today's
Market! A seminar (1, 6 Actual / 8 hour day) that provides
Nurses an outlook on job opportunities throughout the spectrum of the health
care system. From Nursing at the bed side through starting their own
companies. Lists and compares each of the major job opportunities that are
currently available. It also list the pro's and con's and the necessary
requirements to succeed in each area. For Hospital's it provides your
nurses with a realistic outlook of alternate careers and promotes the ideals of
staying within the system because of job security and benefits. For other organizations,
it offers a view to Nurses that may not have considered or if they have, don't
realize the difficulty and vast responsibilities of changing careers. It
will provide them with a better understanding of other resources.
ICU - ER - Critical Care Transport
Services (1, 6 Actual / 8
hour day) Examines the Role of the ICU or ER or Transport Nurse
specifically or in contrast. Prepares these Nurses to understand their Important
Role in the Patients' Road to Recovery. From the Scene of the accident or
illness to discharge.
How to start your own Nursing
Consultant Business (1, 6 Actual / 8 hour day) Examines
job opportunities and the requirements to start own Nursing Based Business.
Legal Nurse Consulting (1, 6
Actual / 8 hour day) Examines requirements of becoming a Legal Nurse Consultant.
Legal Aspects of Nursing or Do I Really
Need Malpractice Insurance (1, 6 Actual / 8 hour day) Discusses
the Legal responsibilities, limitations, malpractice and defending themselves
against possible litigation.
Educating Doctor's, Patients &
Administration on the Role of Nurses Advocacy & Responsibilities in Today's
Health Care Team (1, 6 Actual / 8 hour day) Designed for Ancillary
Health Team members, physicians, administrators by explaining the roles and
responsibilities of the individual nurse. Great refresher for Nurses.
