This show wasn't Little House On The Prarie (despite the occasional appearance of Almanzo). There is no such thing as Supermom. Yet, the times that Buffy most desperately needed her, Joyce came through. Okay, maybe not every time. But if the situation wasn't overly complicated, Joyce had pretty good instincts with Buffy. I like how she figured out that Dawn wasn't really her daughter, but it really didn't matter to her. I just wish I could figure out if her appearances in season 7 were really her, or the First Evil.
