Here's a story about why it is a good idea to keep in touch with a friend from school (especially a friend from Turkey): We were traveling on the Mediterranean and the ship stopped in Istanbul. thanks to email, we had previously let our friend Nino know about our arrival date and he met us. We viewed the city from a tower, from a tea place and then had lunch in this location overlooking the Golden Horn. What a selection of food! our best description is -- go there.
