Download Speeds
Below are numbers for how to find your estimated download time at almost every known modem connection. Listed, in order, for each connection, is the claimed speed in kilobits per second, the maximum download speed in kilobytes (1 byte = 8 bits) per second, and how much you can download per minute in good conditions. Please note that in most situations, internet congestion slows down your actual download time. Also note that the connection method (ie. T1) only refers to one example. For example, your cable internet connection may have a rated speed of 128kbps, which in this list is referred to as the speed for Dual ISDN.
