The show gave out plaques for top 10 cars, trucks and top 5 motorcycles. Big Red was chosen top 10 out of 150-170 in attendance. There was also one "Ladies Choice" trophy given for the same three categories. A "Best of Show" trophy and two other sponsor trophies given.
The old 40's modified Plymouth in pictures 2647-49 won the best of show trophy. The pictures here don't show all the cars, trucks and motorcycles in attendance. Before the day was over the entire parking lot was full of vehicles. It was a rainy day in the beginning and RHM Jr "shammied" the Coronet several times before the rain stoped..Other attractions that day included live music, a cruise around the town and a burnout contest seen in the photos by plumes of smoke. |
