Art By Robert Scott
Having never had any official art training, Robert Scott saw a pen and ink drawing by Henri Matisse in the winter of 2001 and literally “found his Muse”. He consequently picked up a brush, some black paint, and a piece of canvas and started painting. He quickly came to the conviction that art is not the finished piece but is, instead, the moment of inspiration (which the artwork attempts to preserve).
Robert continues to find his greatest inspiration in the fauvist works of Henri Matisse, André Derain, and Georges Braque. He hopes that his artwork will exhibit a growing and changing style that will allow his personal spirituality and emotional inspiration to shine forth unhindered.

A Louisiana native, Robert resides in Texas with his beautiful wife, Leona, where he drinks sweet iced tea, makes great coffee, and from time to time puts on a floppy plaid hat and paints.

Robert’s artwork is currently on display by Four Day Weekend in the Caravan of Dreams Theater in downtown Fort Worth.

As Fort Worth’s longest running show, Four Day Weekend is basically an institution of local entertainment. You are encouraged to drop by their website at www.fourdayweekend.com. Make sure that you do not miss their next show, a hilariously interactive form of comedic improvisation… and take a look at Robert’s art while you are there!
