"More Than Just Friends" |
Let's just be friends is what you say, But deep down in my heart, I know there's another way. I've been searching for someone who is true, And something in my heart keeps telling me that it's you. I've been watching you sit so quiet and calm for a while, And since then I've grown to love your smile. I like to watch you and the smooth way that you walk, And all I really want is for us to talk. Sometimes my heart tells me lies, But I can see the truth when I look into your eyes. Sometimes when I look your way, I get a quick little glance, And every time that I see you, my heart just starts to dance. If I could be with you, I promise to treat you right. Because someone like you, I would surely protect with all of my might. So I hope it's not asking too much, Just to feel the warmth of your heart felt touch. I hope that you get the message that my lonely heart sends, Please, let's be More Than Just Friends. Robert J. Dantzler April 7, 1997 |
