The Madness Of Obsession

While lost in the darkness
Down the middle of nowhere,
I came across a sign
Said Point Of No Return

The fog was creepin'
And the willows were weepin'.
My blood, it boiled
And sore my eyes did burn.

And here I stood
At the crossing roads
With handshake deals and
Contracts inked in code.

As I walk through the valley
Of the shadow of death,
I close my eyes
And hold my breath.

I reached for the top
Above the eagle's nest,
Where no one dares,
I feel it in my chest.

And everything my eyes did see,
I wanted all its energy - just for me.
All the power of obsession
Now to hold in my posession.

In the Madness Of Obsession
It goes on and on and on...

Coming from your heart of darkness,
Your words are cold and hard as the barrell of a gun.
What's done is done.
And when you shoot them through my heart,
It makes me feel that now's the time to run.
And though I always held you high,
I feel as though you always bring me down,
down below.

Is it you,
Is it me?
You and I,
We just don't see Eye to eye,
In the Madness of Obsession
It goes on and on and on...

If you cross your heart,
You might have to die.
It's hard to see the truth
With a needle in your eye.

You can't say I have no taste
Until you taste me.

And you can't tell me how I feel
Until you felt me.

And you can't tell me that I'm going to Hell
"cuz I just came from there.

And you can't tell me
How to live my life
Unless you've been through Hell
And made it back alive...twice!

To crack the code,
Change the mode.
You'll find data overload,
And that's for sure.
In the Madness Of Obsession,
It goes on and on and on...

Many are the stars I see,
Yet in my eye, no star like thee

Is this the real thing
Or is it a test,
'Cuz I believe I've given you my best.
Fuck all the rest!

And here I stand
At the crossing roads,
With handshake deals and
Contracts inked in code.

To crack the code,
Change the mode.
You'll find data overload
And that's for sure.
In the Madness Of Obsession,
It goes on and on and on...

And my often selfish reasons
Change as often as the seasons,
And that's a fact.

In the Madness Of Obsession,
It goes on and on and on...
