Final Farewell
I climb the steps, slowly glancing back
As I board, the waiting train
You're a silhouette, in rising mist
Knowing, I'll never see you again

If  only I could hold your hand
I'd take you, to our special place
Looking through the window
A tear, rolls down my face

All aboard, a station guard shouts
His shrill voice, echo's above
The train, slowly pulls away
This, the final farewell my love

I wave you, a fond farewell
As I fight back the tears
Slowly fading, into darkened night
On a journey, of unknown fears

The last thing, I'll remember
As the station, we slowly depart
Knowing, you once loved me
Somewhere, in your heart
