Coming of Spring
Birds return, from distant lands
Sweet dawn chorus, songbird's sing
Morning sunrise, over distant hill
Heralding, the coming of Spring

A season's birth, in air now warm
New life unfolds, before your eyes
Foliage, an abundance of green
Leafy forest, reach to the skies

From winter chill, petals bloom
Fragrance of flowers, again reborn
The land awash, with colour
On a tranquil, Spring morn

Leaping, in nearby fields
Lambs, like children play
Innocent, in a cruel world
On this warm, Spring day

Birds, bees, leaves on a tree
Nature, is a wonderful thing
Such splendour, to the eye
The wonderous, season of Spring
