Digital Artist Trading Cards by
Roberto Luigi
Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) and traditional trading cards only have the dimensions in common. They are 2.5 inches wide (64mm) and 3.5 inches (89mm) tall. The manufacturing of these little works of art has become very popular in recent years and the ATC's are nowadays produced by professional artists and amateurs alike. All kinds of techniques and materials are allowed, including drawing, painting, collage and photography. The cards are usually 'traded' by post, swapping one of your own ATC's for another made by a colleague-ATC enthusiast.
Every week you can download a free copy of one of my ATC's!

Many ATC artists have, through the years, developed a style of their own. I use many techniques such as drawing, traditional collage, ready-mades and digital collage. The raw material comes from many (often very unlikely) sources and it is just great fun to put it all together to create a unique piece of art. Finally these raw ATC's are scanned and digitally stamped with my trademark RL-sign. I regard the prints from these digital images as my final and true ATC's.
