This train simulator is one of the best out there, plus it's freeware!
Although only one view, being a forward view out of the cab, the latest routes for this simulator are getting better all the time.
Excellent for sound, and good graphics in real time simulation make this a good piece of software. Also, you are able to make your own routes and trains, though a little computer knowledge is needed.
If you are making a train from your local line, you could even go to the train and record real samples from the train itself! Then, put them on the computer and now you have an even more realistic train simulator!
Also, if you have a camera, and you are able to, you can even take a picture of the cab to put in the simulator. Including taking an outside shot of the train to show which train you are choosing. |
