A great watchable movie. One of those calm watchable movies with no drastic action or violence, and no foul language. I usually call this type of movie a 'Saturday Matinee' movie - one to watch when you wish to do nothing else than just wish to sit infront of the TV and watch something pleasant. This movie is about JC Wiatt (Dianne Keaton) who plays a hard working executive, working her way to the top with no time for thinking about a family or marriage. Just when she's in the success of it all, she gets a rather unexpected gift left in a will from a relative in London.. A nice light hearted comedy. |
Dr DoLittle (Eddie Murphy) returns this time to save a forest. |

The third of the dinosaur extreme. When paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neil) is pursuaded to go on a flying trip above the island. Problems arise when he finds out they land. It has some good pieces of action. Although I found this good, I thought that it had ended too soon. It sort of had a beginning, a middle, then expecting a little more action, you realise it's the end. |
This is the story of Shrek (voice of Mike Myers), who is an ogre, and a donkey (voice of Eddie Murphy). I had only seen one clip of the film, and knew only about that much of it too. I had enjoyed this film thoroughly. A well written story line to a well played animation. A good few laughs in it too. I do not wish to say anything else as it may spoil how good this film is, apart from the words 'go see it.' |

Charly (Jim Carey) is a policeman for the local town, but is very much pushed around by the town. He's a very kind hearted gentlemen, but one day, because he never confronts anyone about anything, his dark side, named hank, comes out of him. Although there is a lot of foul language, it comes together quite well with some good laughs. Though be prepared for some parts that you might find offensive or crude. |
I can't remember if I even saw a clip of this film before I saw this. All I knew about it was that it is a love story, and I remember standing in the queue at the cinema thinking 'Great. That's all I need for how i'm feeling right now..'. I didn't realise it was actually a musical. The film is set before the turn of the 20th Century in 1899, but has a modern feel to it via the soundtrack. "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." - The main quote throughout this film. True, so true.. Satine (Nicole Kidman) and Christian (Ewan McGregor) have outstanding natural singing voices in this film. Overall I found this film very good, and very moving, catching your heart in the emotion. One you shouldn't miss. If you don't like musicals, you'll like this one. |
