.TRAINZ is set to become the train simulator of all train simulators. |
Already being praised before it comes out, and now being praised by the beta testers, TRAINZ has already being called, "The train simulator that will set an example for all train simulators to come". Forget "As Real As It Gets", this is "As Real As Real Life"! |
TRAINZ is set for release in December, and January 2002 sees the release of it in stores world-wide. Ordering online before the 15th November will see that you get it in December. The first release of TRAINZ will be made up of 3 modules. TRAINZ Desktop, TRAINZ Driver, and TRAINZ Surveyor. TRAINZ Desktop allows you to view all the trains that you have in your collection. It will also have backfrops, desktop themes, and you're even able to create dynamic 3D screensavers featuring any of your models. TRAINZ Driver allows you to drive those trains along routes that come with the program, or custom made routes that you will be able to make with .. TRAINZ Surveyor. This is the main selling point for TRAINZ. Surveyor is a route editor that even a child could pick up and play. The movies on the official show just how easy it is to make a route of your own! No more fidgeting and fussing about with MSTS, within 10 minutes of this program you will be able to make a simple route complete with scenery (just see Barneys review at www.crotrainz.com). More information can be found on the official site for TRAINZ, which has movies and pictures which show just how simple and easy it is. Although I have yet to 'pick up and play' the game, just looking at the screenshots and movies show how great this program is coming along. The TRAINZ Program doesn't stop there! Oh no. Other modules that will be released in the future include: Yardmaster, Dispatcher, Boss, Workshop and Online. Four packs will also be made: Branchline, Commuter, Pioneer, and Network. More details of the above can be found on the official website for TRAINZ (see below). All in all, if you have about £35, and you are not sure which train simulator to spend it on, this would get the best recommendation. |
