Zeta Phi Chapter - Alumni

The following Zeta Phi history was provided by 1963 pledge Marianne Mayorsky Ponist...

The source for the following was the "Green & White" handbook 1962-1963.  It was issued to incoming Freshmen.

Before becoming Delta Zeta, our Zeta Phi chapter was a local sorority called Sigma Lambda Chi - a local sorority that "went National" in 1963.

Their motto was "Through service and laughter toward life-long comradeship."

The officers of Sigma Lambda Chi were:
President - Bonnie Anderson
VP - Jan McNulty
Recording Sec - Judy Nylander
Corresponding Sec - Pat O'Hare
Alumnae Sec - Bunnie Halfhill
Treasurer - Iloa Adametz
Chaplain - Judy Anderson
Historyan - Charlene Flach
Sergent-at-Arms - Judy Bodine

Senior Advisors - Cathy Sullivan & Janice Eichorn

DZ Yuthud Russell Oberdick - 1965 SR grad told Marianne that Janice Eichorn was very instrumental in getting the local chapter to 'go national.'  Not all of the girls in the local chapter elected to join Delta Zeta National Sorority.  Marianne thinks it was a matter of $ at the time.  Initiation fee, sorority dues & the pin with diamonds!
