June 2002
There was some rain on an off this day, but it was dry & calm for the most part, and I got a couple of good flights in.  My friend Ben Mazur also joined us today, and when he wasn't talking to his girlfriend on his cell phone he enjoyed the launch.
I flew the Night Hawk on (1) G40-7W, and (2) F23-7FJ today.  My clubs Tripoli Prefect Bob Schoner did not like the looks of the central igniter  I was planning on using, so he loaned me one of his, and it failed to light the G40!  No hurt feelings, though.  It flew fine on the two F's.
L-R: My brother Ben, Chris Hamilton, myself, and Ben Mazur.
I also flew "Naked Shadow IV" on a cluster of (1) F24-7W, and (3) A8-3's being airstarted with thermalite fuse.  The flight was good, but unfortunately the A8's airstarted during the F24's burn (you couldn't see them go), and one didn't light.  I would like to say thanks to Bob Schoner for helping me out with this flight.
