Tripoli SC/ROSCO August 2004 Launch |
The last launch before college started, and what great one it was! I attempted a V-2 drag race with David Deason on F20W's but alas, no ignition. Then I had an awesome boost on my Naked Shadow IV on C6's, then airstarting an E9 but the 'chute fouled a bit at apogee (just minor damage), and then.....THE GAMEROCK. My recently repainted (USC style) 5.5" Phoenix took to the skies under the power of (3) Pro38 I287SS. Great flight to 2334'!! All the laundry came out at apogee, but she recovered without a scratch! Lots of other great flights, too. What a great time! |

The Naked Shadow IV swiftly moving into the air under the power of 3 C6's. A few moments later, the E9 kicked in and smoothly pushed it up to the top. Then the 'chute didn't open. Minor damage only. (photo by Randy Trotter) |
