I also work in live music. I do Arena, Amphitheater,Theater and mobile stage rigging, I also do Set Carpentry ,Mobile stage set-upI have experience in stringed instrument set-up and repair. I'm capable of handling effects set-ups racked or pedelboard type, cable repair tube amp repair and speaker enclosure repairs. I apprenticed as an acoustic Luthier and assisted in constructing instruments for Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings and Dan Huff.. All Martin style dreadnoughts. I have set up literally thousands of guitars, I used to run a retail guitar shop locally (pre guitar center). My personal guitar collection numbers 42 and I so all my own repairs and setups.
Currently I work as a stage rigger locally . I also have vast experience in stage building ( decks and frames ) in various configurations including custom decks, stairs etc. I can also assist in stage Carp work. I have run a crew of up to 40 men assembling mobile staging. I've also assisted with assembly of Line Array systems as well as various other configurations, many custom made. My rigging skills also apply to lighting. Truss running and show focus are an easy thing for me.

I go Hiking/Camping with modern or primitive gear.I usually run the river basins in the Illinois/Missouri area. I can't seem to get enough wilderness. I've done the divide in Colorado, in spring and winter. By far it's the best I've seen yet. My next journey will be to Alaska. I may not come back, If it's as spectacular as expected.. When I'm out in the sticks I can't help but do what my name implies, I always walk out much heavier than I walked in due to mineral accumulation, It just happens without thought till I'm nearly too heavy to move. I also
buy/sell/trade mineral specimen and rocks. The collection is quite extensive.
