5 "Loop Knots"  Bowline's
4 "Joining Knots"  Better known as Bends, although the first two are called "knots" They do join two lines together, there'fore they are in fact "Bends"
A "Shortening knot". the Sheepshank, Used mainly on older type lifeboats as Keel Grab lines, the Sheepshank is put in the rope as a temporary knot to shorten the line
2 "Mat" Knots
Ok Once you have your knots made, It's time to mount them on the board,  But don't get too ambitious, Don't over crowd the board, Some times a well spaced out design works just as well: (Fig's 1,2 & 3)
