A "Shortening knot". the Sheepshank, Used mainly on older type lifeboats as Keel Grab lines, the Sheepshank is put in the rope as a temporary knot to shorten the line |
2 "Mat" Knots |
Ok Once you have your knots made, It's time to mount them on the board, But don't get too ambitious, Don't over crowd the board, Some times a well spaced out design works just as well: (Fig's 1,2 & 3) |
