ROCKIN' HORSE BIO |
Rockin' Horse is a five piece classic/new rock band from Columbus, Ohio. Alecia Price (vocals) and Ian Houston (guitar) met Sam Church (guitar) at a local lounge during acoustic open stage night and decided to form an acoustic trio. After kicking around several names including Sample Mehlmen and Candy Ass, they decided on Rockin' Horse and continued to play local acoustic open stages to much acclaim. After a time they decided that a full electric rock band format was needed to devolop the band to it's fullest potential, so they enlisted Donna Hunter (not pictured by request) (bass) and Tim Frech (drums), who have both since moved on to pursue other interests. Glen Manuel (bass) replaced Donna for a short but sweet stint. Currently the band has enlisted Mike Nicklaus (drums), and Matt Wootton (bass) to fill out the line-up. Local gigs have included: Tavern at the Mill-431 S.
