Summary:Dr. O'shay revived a boy robot named Astro, modeled after a boy who died in an accident. The robot was actually created by the evil Dr. Tenma, who wanted to use it to begin his plans of world conquest. But Astro has rebelled against his original intention and now protects Metro City.
The Good:Otakus rejoice! The first anime has returned to television for a new generation! The original style has been maintained with only a little modernizing.
The Bad:Old-school art style may distance newer fans.
Offensive Material:Some light violence.
Overall:This version is very faithful to the original. I hope it sparks enough interest in the original that both versions become available on DVD as well.
