Title:Geneshaft

Genre:Sci-fi

Creator/Studio:Kazuki Akane/Satelight

Rating:

TV-PG

Company:Bandai/Sunrise

DVD Info:13 episodes, 4 DVD's

Summary:In a probable future, humanity is saved from the brink of extinction through genetic engineering. Two hundered years later, a ring-shaped object attacks Earth, eliminating half of the human population. A group of humans boards a spacecraft called the Bilkis to investigate the ring's origins.

The Good:Good dialogue that truly lets you see the characters for who they are. The CG (computer graphics) animation is so good, you'll want 3D glasses.

The Bad:You really need a good who's who list, because the characters don't refer to each other by their names enough. Also, the story moves pretty fast and doesn't allow you to catch up.

Offensive Material:Some violence and mild profanity. The plot relies heavily on evolution.

Overall:Not a bad mini-series. Geneshaft definitely has the goods.

My Review:(out of 4)3.5Age Rating:B (Borderline. Parental Guidance suggested.)

Note:Kazuki Akane also worked on Heat Guy J and Vision of Escaflowne.
