Summary: This story is set in a world where there is a divided city. On one side live humans in prosperity. But on the other side dwell angelic beings called the Haibane. These being believe themselves to be accursed and live in poverty. The series mostly focuses on Rakka, a new member of the Haibane.

The Good: This is beautifully drawn series that mystifies the viewer. WHat I find the most striking is how pious and humble the Haibane are. For example, they can only own second-hand items and are unable to have money.

The Bad: It's quite slow and uneventful.

Offensive Material: Some blood in the first episode when Rakka's wings come out. Very little bad language. Some tasteful nudity can be seen during the closing credits.

Overall: This is a great series and if you're patient, you'll get a moving story.
